PolySurg Automotive ESD Suppressors

1:27

Eaton's Bussmann series PolySurg ESD Suppressors protect sensitive ICs in high speed data applications, with a space saving 0402 footprint. Both the PS04LTVA1 and 0402ESDA-AEC1 are ideal for protecting USB, ethernet, communication, and other high-speed ports and interfaces across many automotive applications, but also various consumer and industrial applications. Both are AEC-Q200 qualified and can be used in automotive infotainment and navigation systems, body electronics, advance driver assistance systems, RF antenna, mobile device charging systems and more. The high-speed capability comes from their voltage variable material construction that creates an ultra-low capacitance of just 0.05pF which minimizes their impact on high frequency signals. The suppressors are bi-directional, offer low clamping and trigger voltage, and have a response time less than 1 ns. They’re able to withstand 1000s of ESD events and are rated direct discharges up to 8kV and air discharges up to 15kV. The suppressors also have leakage current less than 0.1nA for low power consumption and longer life in battery-powered applications.
