Revolutionizing Sustainable Transportation: Eaton’s Power Electronics
1:12
Power electronics includes Inverters, DC/DC converters, and On-board Chargers. Inverters are used to take power from the batteries and drive electric motors to help the vehicle move. DC/DC converters take the high voltage from the battery pack and provide power to the low voltage system on the car so that loads like entertainment systems, power windows, and other systems our vehicles are used to, can operate cost effectively. On-board Chargers take the AC power from the electrical infrastructure and charge the high voltage batteries in the vehicles to increase the range and replenish the charge of the battery as it is being used.
