Bussmann PTSLR surface mount low resistance PTC resettable fuses
1:04
Eaton’s Bussmann series of PolyTron low resistance surface mount polymer PTC resettable fuses offer reliable circuit protection in a compact form factor for applications where replacing a one-time fuse is too costly, inconvenient, or impossible. Eaton offers the PTSLR series in case sizes from 0603 to 1812. They’re available with hold current ratings from 0.5A to 7.5A, and can withstand up to 50A maximum currents. They’re based on a newly developed proprietary polymer that has initial resistance as low as 1mΩ, minimizing power dissipated in the device during normal operation. The PTSLR series exhibits a fast response to overcurrent events to reliably protect the circuit, and the self-resetting nature of the polymer allows normal operation after the overcurrent event is over and the device has cooled. Eaton’s Bussmann PTSLR resettable PTC fuses are UL and TUV recognized components.
