Eaton has joined forces with four other companies in Switzerland to build a microgrid demonstrator that will be capable of supplying electricity to local businesses and charging up to 350 electric vehicles. Located on the Y-PARC industrial and commercial site in Yverdon-les-Bains, the demonstrator will comprise EV charging stations connected through an intelligent microgrid to local businesses and sources of photovoltaic energy.
