Film DC-Link capacitors from Eaton
1:06
Eaton offers metallized polypropylene film capacitors for DC-Link applications, providing higher current handling ability and a self-healing construction for a longer operational lifetime compared to electrolytic capacitors. Eaton film DC-Link capacitors are offered in standard and automotive grade variants. They’re ideal for use in EV inverters, on-board chargers, industrial power supplies, solar inverters and other high voltage DC to DC conversion applications. The capacitors are offered with values from 1 to 200 microfarads and have voltage ratings up to 1200 volts DC. They’re rated for 100,000 hours and operation at up to 105 degrees Celsius, and automotive grade capacitors are THB Grade IIIB and AEC-Q200 qualified. They feature a 27.5 to 52.5 millimeter pitch radial lead plastic package. They’re lighter and smaller the electrolytic DC-Link capacitors, reducing the size and weight of the DC-Link while effectively handling the high ripple current and minimizing losses.
