HFW High Current Flat Wire Inductors
1:03
Eaton HFW High Current Flat Wire Inductors use high efficiency magnetic materials on preformed flat wire coils that allow for higher power density and lower losses than traditional inductors. Eaton’s HFW family is suitable for high current applications from 5 to 100 amps in less space than traditional round wire alternatives. They’re offered in 22 and 28 millimeter standard SMT footprints with heights ranging from 10 to 18 millimeters, enabling exceptional power density. They’re available from 2 to 33 microhenries with low DCR and low losses at higher frequencies. They feature a robust ferrite core with self-leaded terminations for improved mechanical and thermal performance. They’re also magnetically shielded to reduce the effects of EMI. Eaton HFW High Current Flat Wire Inductors are ideal for new generation, high-efficiency DC-DC converters in computing, medical, industrial, renewable energy, and other applications.

What are integrated inductors and the difference between coupled and non-coupled options?
1:44
Integrated inductors combine multiple inductors in a single package, allowing designers to eliminate this spacing requirement. Coupled and non-coupled variants enable higher power density, higher efficiency, and a reduced BOM count.
