Ruggedized supercapacitor energy storage modules for transportation applications
1:03
Eaton’s XLR-LV supercapacitor modules provide long life energy storage with ultra-low ESR, delivering a maintenance-free high power density solution for systems from a few watts to kilowatts. Eaton XLR-LV supercapacitors are 500 farad supercapacitors comprised of six XL60 supercapacitor cells with integrated cell balancing and maximum working voltages up to 18 volts. They offer ultra-low ESR that enables high peak power delivery and minimizes internal heating. XLR-LV supercapacitors have a rugged construction that tolerates high vibrations, is IP65 sealed, and operates over a wide temperature range. They have an expected maintenance-free lifetime of 20 years and are suitable for high reliability applications. Eaton XLR-LV supercapacitors are ideal for engine and generator startup systems, material handling, light rail, and traction applications.
