Eaton UPS services | Eaton PSEC
15:20
Discover the importance of Eaton’s engineering field service group and customer care in critical environments, especially data centers which maintain power to critical loads. This video also highlights Eaton’s services group mentality, safety focus, and the team's readiness to respond outside normal business hours. Colt Nelson, Field Service Engineer, discusses the types of equipment the team works on, including large UPS systems (9395, 9395P, 9395XC, 93PM), power distribution units (PDU), remote power panels (RPP), and static switches. Colt also details the various aspects of the job, such as preventative maintenance, emergency maintenance, startup of new systems, equipment modifications, and the types of jobs the dispatch sets. Marissa Spencer, Northeast Zone Manager, also explains the field services team structure which includes four levels of customer service engineers or CSE’s: lead technician, master technician, senior technician, and zone senior technician. Working closely with the Power Systems Experience Centers (PSEC) the UPS services group can conduct training, testing and demonstrations of data center and distributed IT equipment in a live, safe, and full-scale environment. The PSECs can display power quality monitoring, battery technologies and energy storage (lithium ion, lead acid, super-capacitors), harmonic solutions and surge protection.
